Import/Export Specialist – Overview
Celestica seeks an experienced Import/Export Specialist to manage export shipments, customs compliance, logistics data analysis, carrier selection, border crossing process development, and supply chain leadership.
Ensures export shipments and documentation comply with applicable customs laws.
Acts as a liaison with customs offices.
Collects and analyzes logistics data for trends and potential cost savings.
Evaluates and selects carriers for shipment of product.
Analyzes freight data for internal and external charges and interfaces with customers to identify billing information.
Responsible for process development and reengineering related to border crossings.
Provides leadership, expertise, guidance and training to the supply chain, commodity, procurement and program management functions, ensuring that the latest practices and procedures are followed.
