Job Description
Drive cloud transformation as an AWS Cloud Data Engineer in Toronto. This hybrid role demands expertise in Terraform, PySpark, and AWS DevOps to lead data migrations.
In this position, you will spearhead the migration of legacy Sybase applications to AWS. Your focus will include defining strategic migration methods and designing cost-optimized architectures. You'll also build real-time data pipelines and modernize solutions leveraging microservices and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead migration of legacy applications to AWS cloud
• Define strategies: rehost, re-platform, or re-architect
• Design cost-optimized AWS architectures
• Build modern microservices and ETL pipelines
• Ensure system reliability via monitoring solutions
Requirements:
• 5+ years of related experience in cloud environments
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS DevOps tools
• Strong SQL skills for data migration tasks
