Job Description
An insurance company that provides commercial insurance, surety bonds, warranty coverage, cyber liability, professional liability, and risk solutions for businesses across Canada and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing litigation and negotiating settlements
- Drafting coverage opinions and letters (in both French and English)
- Communicating with insureds, counsel, brokers and claimants (in both English and French)
- Authorizing payments as required
- Acting as a resource for various business units
Qualifications
- Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (lawyer or paralegal).
- Approximately 5–7+ years of experience in private practice specializing in insurance law and/or experience in handling claims
- Fluently bilingual in French and English
- Property & Casualty experience is an asset
