Job Description
- Removal and replacement of brake drums, brake shoes, and
all related brake components on truck trailers - Servicing and maintenance of air brake systems, air
boosters, air valves, and pipes - Adjustment of wheel bearings
- Inspection and replacement of torque arm bushes
- Servicing of axles, springs, and trailer suspension
components - Diagnosing and troubleshooting brake and air system faults
on truck trailers - Full servicing and maintenance of trailer running gear and
suspension below deck - Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop
environment
Relevant trade qualification or certification in
brake fitting or heavy vehicle mechanics - Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience
specifically in truck trailer brake systems - Extensive practical knowledge of air brake
systems on truck trailers
