Canada’s infrastructure is fraught with challenges and its growth and productivity have stalled. The Line, in partnership with Build Canada, seeks a seasoned investigative journalist to uncover and develop stories that highlight these critical issues—stories that shape Canada’s future and resonate with readers.

What You’ll Do

• Produce a series of in‑depth investigative pieces over the course of one year on Canada’s infrastructure gaps, innovation failures, productivity deficits, and federal spending.
• Track activities within the Major Projects Office, Defence Investment Agency, Build Canada Homes, interprovincial trade, federal spending and transfers, and other programs and initiatives created to boost Canadian growth and productivity.
