Tata Steel Minerals Canada is currently seeking a Carpenter/Journeyman to join their highly skilled team to work a Fly In / Fly Out rotation to and from the Menihek region in Labrador, near the town of Schefferville QC. Main pick-up points are St. John’s, Gander, Deer Lake and Wabush (NL) as well as Halifax/Charlo and Montreal/Quebec City.

Reporting to the Essential Services Supervisor, the Carpenter/journeyman will actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of primarily camp facilities.

Responsibilities

• Strong Safety focus while working on site
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements for projects
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, specifications provided by engineering
