Job Description
Set sail as Chief Officer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Take a key role on deck and bridge, support the Master, and ensure safe and smooth cargo and ship operations with OSM Thome.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall vessel operations
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, stowage, securing, and discharging
- Lead and manage deck crew in daily work and maintenance
- Oversee deck maintenance, safety equipment, and lifesaving appliances
- Implement and monitor safety, security, and environmental procedures
- Keep accurate deck and cargo records and reports
**Requirements**:
- Valid Chief Officer (Deck) license, STCW compliant
- Recent experience as C/O or strong 2/O background on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of bulk cargo operations and ballast management
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
