Job Description

The Chief Steward is responsible for overseeing all stewarding operations, ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and proper handling of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware. The role ensures full compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards while supporting efficient kitchen and food and beverage operations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Stewarding operations management
  • Sanitation, hygiene and food safety compliance
  • Team supervision and training
  • Equipment and inventory management
  • Cost control and efficiency
  • Safety and risk management
  • Housekeeping of F&B and F&B-related heart-of-house areas
  • The Chief Steward is also expected to perform other tasks that may be needed from time to time in relation to achieving hotel goals.
