SHIFT: Monday-Thursday 5AM-3:30PM. 4/10's OT is available.
The Manufacturing Associate will be working for a Medical Device company in Santa Rosa. The company manufactures stents that are used in the aorta during surgery. The aorta is the main artery of the body, supplying oxygenated blood to the circulatory system.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Manufacturing Associate will be working in one of two different areas:
Area 1) Assembling stents. Stents are wire figures that are inserted into the Aorta in the body to keep the Aorta open when there's a blockage. The stent assembly area does everything from wrap wire into the shape of the stent to treating the wire with different chemicals and processes so that it maintains its shape even after being compressed (like a slinky).
Area 2) Working in the clean room in the grafting area. In this area they wrap a super thin film around the stent structure. The film is a super thin material similar to saran wrap, but...
