Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

Chernos Flaherty Svonkin LLP is a commercial litigation boutique located at Bay & Wellington in downtown Toronto. We are looking for a Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role features a competitive salary and requires a minimum of 3 days of in-office presence per week.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education & Experience: Experienced legal assistant or recent graduate of a recognized related post-secondary program.
• Tech-Savvy: High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Calendar, bookmarking, tables of contents, and hyperlinking.
• Legal Proficiency: Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and litigation processes (pleadings, motion records, facta, books of authorities, affidavits).
• Software Aptitude: Experience with or eagerness to learn legal billing systems, litigation databases, and Ontario Court online filing processes.
