ROLE SUMMARY:
The Community Resilience Coordinator is an integral role within the Unit Support Team, responsible for developing and delivering community focussed programs to achieve the goals of the VICSES Community Resilience and Renewal Strategy.
The Community Resilience Coordinator plays a pivotal role in increasing hazard awareness and the understanding of VICSES public information and warnings and utilising their community engagement skills to lead the development of plans, programs and tools to build community capacity for emergency events. The Victoria State Emergency Service plays a major role in Victoria's emergency preparedness, response, relief and recovery activities during emergencies for which it is responsible including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, Landslide, along with supporting other agencies and departments as required ...
