Job Description
Construction Materials Tester (CMT) —Build skills on real job sites (not behind a desk)
If you’re the type who likes being in the field, staying active, and doing work you can see, this is for you. As a Construction Materials Tester (CMT), you’ll be out on construction sites collecting soil and concrete samples, running basic checks in the field when needed, and/or bringing materials back to the office/lab for testing.
What your day will actually look like
+ Show up to active job sites and collect soil and concrete samples
+ Perform some on-site testing depending on the size/quantity of the material
+ When needed, transport samples back to the office/lab for additional testing
+ Move equipment/materials around the job site (you’ll regularly handle up to ~50 lbs — example: moving a wheelbarrow full of concrete)
+ Write down what you see and do — clear, simple field notes / reports are part of the job
