Job Description
The Cost Engineer develops project budgets and cost estimates for all phases of a project in the oil/refinery/process industry. Responsible for controlling, forecasting and reporting project costs for Projects works. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed cost estimates (CAPEX and OPEX) for major projects and portfolio projects at all project stages — from feasibility, concept, and FEED through to execution and close-out.
- Work with project teams, discipline engineers, procurement, and contractors to collect data, validate assumptions, and integrate technical and commercial inputs into estimates.
- Implements cost management and reporting processes for project execution plan.
- Responsible for setup of project WBS in the cost forecasting tool, with proper tracking through purchase orders.
