Data and model software engineer (RE1)

Key Duties

• Implement changes in the Fortran code of the models to produce new variables in the model output.
• Adapt the CMORization and standardization Python code to process new GRIB variables in NetCDF.
• Contribute to the setup and verification of the generation of CMOR outputs for AC experiments.
• Integrate the new codes into the relevant workflow.
• Provide support and guidance to potential users and other developers on newly developed features and promote best practices.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics or a related discipline.
• Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Good development skills and experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Experience in Python programming and scripting.
