- Driving: Safely operating heavy or tractor-trailer trucks (often >26,000 lbs) for long periods.
- Logistics & Documentation: Recording deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and hours of service (HOS) in compliance with federal regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting inspections for defects before/after trips and reporting mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
- Routing & Communication: Using GPS for route planning and updating dispatchers on delivery status.
Key Requirements & Skills
- License: RC 123
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
- Experience: Proven experience as a heavy truck driver is highly preferred.
