Purpose of Role

To produce high-quality solar PV engineering designs and technical outputs that meet all client, regulatory, and industry standards. The role requires strong technical expertise in PV system design, grid integration, and project execution within the South African regulatory framework. The position includes leadership responsibilities and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key Performance Areas Design and development of utility‑scale and commercial solar PV systems (conceptual to detailed design) PV system sizing, yield analysis, and optimisation using tools such as PVSyst Preparation of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and plant design documentation Design of DC systems, inverter configurations, and AC reticulation systems Grid connection studies and compliance with the South African Grid Code Integration of PV systems with MV and LV networks Design of LV & MV Motor Control Centres Design of LV & MV industrial plant reticulation systems Design and spe...
