Job Description

The Energy Storage Consultant will lead and deliver technical, engineering, and advisory services for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across China, with potential to support services in other APAC markets. This role supports DNV’s expanding presence in China and is supported by a growing pipeline of BESS technology review and due diligence assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical reviews and due diligence of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a primary focus on battery systems, battery cells, and power conversion systems (PCS).
Review and assess BESS design documentation and conduct technology evaluations covering system performance, safety, reliability, and compliance at both system and major component levels.
Review test reports, certification documents, and compliance evidence against applicable standards and regulations (., IEC, UL, NFPA, GB standards, and grid codes).
