Engine Test Analyst

Ford of Canada’s Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant is seeking a qualified technician to disassemble returned customer engines and perform detailed failure analysis. The successful candidate will be a member of the Salary Bargaining Unit‑Local 240.

What You’ll Do

• Install and instrument engines, transmissions, and other powertrains on test cells.
• Operate advanced dynamometer test equipment for functional, durability, and development testing, including building automated test schedules with safety and operating alarms.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to adjust and resolve powertrain parameters according to engineering specifications.
• Systematically dismantle and inspect engines, transmissions, and powertrains, performing visual and dimensional checks as per teardown analysis guides.
• Calibrate instrumentation and measuring devices periodically.
