Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Guides and mentors new Assistant Nurses in their duties.
- Performs nursing procedures e.g. surgical dressing, feeding and bathing of residents.
- Check residents daily in the morning and treat residents for sores, ring worms and scabies, and refer sick residents to the Medical Room.
- Assist staff nurse to observe residents with minor ailments e.g. diarrhea, headache and report to Senior Staff Nurse / Staff Nurse for referral to consult Doctor.
- Observes/cares for sick residents in the sick bay.
- Clean and disinfect all instruments used during dressing.
- Clean and disinfect skin treatment room daily.
- Packing of medicine for residents to be done a day in advance.
- Serves milk (ENSURE) drinks to weak and under-weight residents.
- Assists in physiotherapy exercises (if needed).
