Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Healthcare)

Key Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and monitor patients, reporting changes in their physical or mental wellbeing to the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide compassionate nursing care within your scope of practice.
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Participate in patient handovers and interdisciplinary ward rounds, ensuring effective communication of patient care and critical information.
• Support and educate patients regarding prescribed medication and treatment plans.
• Encourage participation in therapeutic programmes and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to the Mental Health Care Act (No. 17 of 2002) and all relevant nursing standards and protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
