Job Overview

Head of Evaluation Office – senior‑level management role. Grade PR5, Staff Member / Affiliate Type Professional. Location: Geneva, Switzerland. Deadline for applications: 7 July 2026.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the UNHCR Evaluation Policy and Evaluation Strategy.
• Oversee the annual evaluation planning and budgeting process, coordinating with Senior Executive Team, Divisions and Bureaux to select topics for centralised evaluations and publish bi‑annual work‑plans.
• Provide technical guidance, capacity building and quality assurance for both centralised and decentralised evaluations.
• Advise on and promote the use of evaluation findings and lessons learned across the organisation.
• Engage regularly with the Senior Executive Team, SET and senior field management to ensure evaluation activities align with operational priorities.
