Job Description

The Town of Longmeadow, MA DPW is seeking qualified applicants for an anticipated opening for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator. Position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trucks and equipment for street maintenance, water and sewer system maintenance, and related public works projects; and provides skilled labor function for the Public Works Department. 
Successful candidate must have:
Knowledge of relevant Massachusetts General Laws related to essential functions. Knowledge of materials, machines, methods, and current practices essential to the maintenance of town streets, roadways, water, and sewer systems. Knowledge of occupational safety precautions.
