IBM DB2 Systems Programmer

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions, focusing on designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications. You will collaborate with team members, use modern frameworks, and apply agile practices to deliver scalable, high‑performing solutions that meet specific business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to design, build and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Plan, install, configure, test and implement DB2 for z/OS.
• Plan, install, configure, test and implement DB2 Service Level upgrade and patches.
• Plan, install, configure, test and implement QMF for z/OS, DB2 Admin Tool, and DB2 Utilities Suite.
• Plan and run REBIND in support of DB2 Service upgrades.
• Plan and use DB2 utilities to backup and recover DB2 Subsystem.
• Manage buffer pools.
• Provide technical assistance to appropriate groups.
