- Oversee the full importation process from shipment planning to final release and delivery
- Ensure timely customs clearance and port release of imported goods
- Manage import flow to minimize port congestion, ageing, demurrage, and detention
- Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and government agency requirements (NMIS, BPI, BAI and others)
- Oversee tariff classification, customs valuation, and correct declaration of goods
- Ensure proper application of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and preferential duty claims for those applicable country
- Manage and evaluate customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport providers
- Act as the escalation point for customs and regulatory issuesLead, coach, and develop import operations, brokerage, and customer service teams
