Job Description
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role; ideally within landfill environment with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- In-depth knowledge of the NEM: Waste Act, waste classification and management regulations, and landfill permitting requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Sage .
- Knowledge of an IMS system (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge ofdouble composite liner systems (HDPE + clay, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁹ m/s).
- Understanding ofGNR 635 waste assessment (TC and LC thresholds).
- Ability to enforcewaste acceptance criteria per GNR 636.
- Experience withleachate collection and leak detection systems.
- Knowledge oflandfill gas management (GNR 924).
