Lead NDT Inspector

Summary

: The Lead NDT Inspector plays a dual role by performing advanced-level non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections while providing leadership and direction to NDT team members on the shop floor. This position ensures compliance with industry codes, company standards, and customer specifications through hands-on inspection, mentorship, and workflow coordination. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. Essential Functions:

Perform complex NDT inspections using methods such as MT, PT, UT, RT, and/or VT in accordance with established procedures and applicable codes.

Lead and mentor Level I and II NDT personnel, providing technical guidance, training, and support.

Act as a point of contact for floor-level NDT-related decisions, coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure timely inspections.
