As a Learning Support Assistant, your role is to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will work with teachers and the therapy team to provide tailored support for a specific tutor group during lessons and transitions between classes.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage their engagement and confidence in learning.
• Understand each pupil's ‘Pupil Passport’ and collaborate with teachers to implement strategies aligned with EHCPs.
• Support classroom learning by assisting teachers and proactively engaging with pupils to keep them focused and challenged.
• Provide feedback to the SENCO and staff about effective teaching strategies and highlight any concerns.
