Litigation Handler

Overview

Join Strata Solicitors, Gallagher Bassett’s in‑house law firm, as a Litigation Handler/Defendant Litigator. You’ll manage your own caseload of litigated defendant motor claims for our self‑insured corporate and insurer clients.

Based in Tamworth, with occasional travel to Northampton.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of claims, including RTA, credit hire, and small track claims, and to deliver exceptional client outcomes through litigation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Defend litigated motor claims on behalf of large corporates.
• Assess liability and set & maintain reserves in line with client service level agreements.
• Investigate merits of third‑party claims and negotiate settlements via telephone and correspondence with third parties, insurers, and solicitors.
