LNG Asset Optimiser

Role Synopsis The LNG Book within GPTI (Gas and Power Trading International) is responsible for optimising BP's advantaged LNG portfolio, including equity and third‑party supply, long‑term regasification and liquefaction contracts in the US and Europe, a global customer base across premium markets, and a mix of BP‑operated and chartered vessels. The LNG Book is a significant contributor to Trading & Shipping (T&S) and one of its four strategic growth pillars. It trades regional arbitrage opportunities via linear and non‑linear spreads across NBP, TTF, Henry Hub, JKM, and crude, integrating paper trading with the physical optimisation and risk management of the portfolio to enhance overall performance. The Asset Optimisation team develops analytical tools and insights to support traders in maximising portfolio value.
