The Safety Manager will drive all safety and environmental related initiatives throughout the Unit ensuring all employees are provided the safest work environment achievable and maintaining Unit compliance with Company and customer and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Unit’s overall Health and Safety program and performance.
• Ensure all incidents are investigated to identify causes; work with stakeholders to agree on corrective actions; track corrective actions through to completion; monitor success.
• Track OHS data in a meaningful way (accidents, near misses, workplace inspection findings, days lost…) and create and maintain KPIs.
• Use leading indicator data to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and to develop department‑specific training to address those opportunities.
