**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
The Material Handler supports a busy scrap metal operation by safely sorting, organizing, and moving metal materials for processing and recycling. This is a highly physical role that involves lifting and transporting metal parts, unloading and loading trucks, and working both inside a warehouse and outside in the yard. Roughly half of the work takes place indoors and half outdoors, in a heavy industrial environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Sort and organize various metals for processing and recycling according to established procedures.
+ Handle materials safely and efficiently, moving metal parts from one area to another throughout the facility.
+ Regularly lift and carry metal parts weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
+ Unload incoming trucks and load outgoing trucks using appropriate material handling methods.
