Mechanical Design Coordinator

The Role

Our client, a well‑established leader in design, in‑house build, and export of specialist and complex heavy machinery, is hiring a Mechanical Design Coordinator based in the Bay of Plenty.

Responsibilities

• Generate drawing packs and design documentation
• Create new parts and BOMs
• Be responsible for Engineering Change Orders and ERP system management
• Develop SOPs and manufacturing drawings
• Analyse processes and recommend improvements

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified Mechanical or Mechatronics engineer (preferred)
• Previous design experience with heavy machinery plant working with BOMs, ECOs and ERP systems
• Proven experience with manufacturing fabrication processes
• Proficient communication skills, self‑starter, diligent, natural problem solver, comfortable working in a team or autonomously
