Job Description
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience designing industrial or commercial mechanical enclosures.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, sheet metal, assemblies, drawings,
SolidWorks Simulation).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of NEMA 4X enclosure standards and design requirements.
• Practical understanding of IEC 60529 IP-rating methodology, including IP63 design and test
criteria.
• Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience selecting and specifying sealing systems, gaskets, and surface treatments for
environmental protection.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding, casting, and machining processes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM/EPDM for drawing and revision management.
• Knowledge of UL 508A, UL 50E, or equivalent enclosure safety standards.
