A high-power defense laser company located in Longmont, CO is seeking to hire a Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team. This individual will support the assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems while managing daily priorities to meet project schedules. Responsibilities include building and documenting assemblies, coordinating materials and workspaces, operating hand and power tools, and supporting thermal management systems, cleanroom operations, and other facility-related activities. This role also requires up to 50% travel to support testing and integration efforts at customer or remote sites. When not traveling, this person will sit onsite in the Longmont office 5 days/week. This role is a 6-month contract to hire model, with opportunity to convert to a permanent company employee on or after the 6-month mark.
