Medical Imaging Physics Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assist in the duties and operations of the senior staff medical and health physicists to maintain image quality, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all quality control procedures under the direction of the senior staff medical and health physicists. Responsible for assisting in teaching of physicians, technologists, and allied health personnel in imaging physics and radiation safety. The responsibilities include the use and maintenance of image acquisition systems such that the technique factors, radiation dose, image processing methods, and image quality are consistent with the clinical needs.
