Position Details

Medical Lab Technologist – Permanent, Part Time (0–20 hours per week) Day Shift (6:30 AM–2:30 PM) Discipline: Microbiology Number of positions: 1 Start date: ASAP Union: Part of the OPSEU LAB collective agreement. This vacancy is for an existing position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
• Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Perform, interpret, and release results, while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
• Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in developing effective corrective action plans, escalating as appropriate, and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with evaluation and implementation of new technology.
