Job Description
Hi there! I’m looking for a caring, responsible, and positive person to help with childcare for my son Ashton here in Nelson, BC. This is a live-in position with free rent provided in exchange for childcare.
Ashton is a fun, energetic, and kind kid who loves being active. He enjoys playing outside with friends, going to the skatepark, shooting hoops, and having some downtime after school. He does best with someone who is patient, supportive, and able to keep a good balance between structure and fun.
The role would mainly involve weekday support — helping with his morning routine (getting up, breakfast, and out the door around 8:15am as his school is just a 5-minute walk), and then picking him up around 2:30pm and spending time with him after school. This usually includes a snack, some screen time (about 45–60 minutes), and then encouraging outdoor play or activities. Occasionally I may need help on evenings or weekends, but I do have some flexibility and family nearby for support...
