Network Operations Engineer - IP & Core Networking

Hours: Standard office hours (no shift work or on-call)

We are partnering with a leading global technology services provider supporting one of the world’s most advanced hyperscale data centre environments.

They are seeking Network Operations Engineers to support large-scale IP backbone and core network operations within a highly available production environment supporting globally distributed infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support and troubleshoot IP backbone and core network infrastructure within live production environments
• Perform remote link-level troubleshooting across backbone, carrier and transport connectivity
• Coordinate with carriers, ISPs and onsite engineering teams during network incidents and outages
• Support Layer 1 troubleshooting activities including fibre, optics, cross-connects and physical connectivity validation
