Operating Room Registered Nurse

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to surgical patients under the direction of the surgeon and in collaboration with the perioperative team. This role is responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe environment, and ensuring adherence to surgical protocols.



The OR Nurse monitors patients’ conditions, documents medical histories and responses, administers medications, and operates specialized surgical equipment. Duties may include assisting the surgeon during procedures, supporting patient recovery in the immediate postoperative phase, and coordinating follow-up care. Consistently communicates with patients, families, physicians, and team members in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner to support optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
