We are seeking an ophthalmologist for Vaasa Central Hospital in the Ostrobothnia region for the period from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2028.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ophthalmology outpatient clinic; work in the day surgery unit is not included.
• Investigate, diagnose, and treat both common and rare eye diseases requiring specialized care.
• Handle initial consultations and some follow-up visits; appointments are 30 minutes each.
• Perform elective and emergency minor procedures in the outpatient clinic (e.g., laser treatment, Ozurdex implants).
• Work in the emergency clinic and consult with other healthcare staff as needed.
