Outpatient Medical Coder

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Holds an active Medical Coding Certification (CPC, COC, CCS and/or CCS-P)

• With at least 2+ years of OP (SDS and/or ED – E/M) coding experience

Nice to have:

• Advantage will be given to those with Charge Capture/Charge Audit, OP QA, or Auditor experience

• Medical allied/non-medical allied course graduate, associate degree holder, or PHRN holder

• With experience in any EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner & Meditech

• Prior experience as a nurse coder or clinical background in an ED or urgent care setting
