Practicing within their full scope, the Pharmacy Technician performs all aspects of drug distribution to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs leading to safe and effective patient care. The University of Alberta Hospital Pharmacy is a 24/7 Pharmacy with shifts around the clock. Core duties may include but are not limited to: Sterile and non-sterile preparation and final product checking of sterile and non-sterile products, individual patient prescriptions, repackaging and ward stock. Providing guidance to and assisting with the training and orientation of staff and students.
