**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**I.Job Summary:**
**The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture procedures to obtain blood specimens and sends or delivers the specimens**
**to the laboratory in a timely manner. The phlebotomist will be expected to draw blood from babies, children,**
**adolescents, adults, and elderly patients on a daily basis.**
**II.Qualifications:**
+ **High School diploma or equivalent**
+ **Completion of a certified phlebotomy course (strongly preferred)**
+ **Demonstrated phlebotomy experience**
+ **Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors.**
