Job Description
Pipe fabrication, welding and installation in units and blocks, and in the ship under construction. Replacement of defective pipe system elements in Ship Repair projects. Projects will cover a range of vessels across the naval, marine, and repair sectors and the role will require flexibility between New-Build fabrication and construction, and Ship Repair projects.
Main Duties
- Maintenance of a Safe working environment, compliance with specific Safety procedures
- Read and interpret piping drawings, P&IDs, spool fabrication sheets etc on drawings
- Profile and shape pipes and components using handheld power tools, mechanical cutting machines and associated tooling
- Prepare and fit piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
