Plant Operator, Processing Facilities

Reporting to the Project Engineer, the Plant Operator has an all-round operator role, managing and assisting all unit operations in High Temperature Metal Recovery (HTMR). You will gain hands-on experience producing a zinc oxide product in GFL's Hamilton manufacturing plant. You will become familiar with health and safety, quality, and how to be successful in a team environment, developing an ability to operate all HTMR equipment and machinery.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage, troubleshoot and operate the safe and reliable operation of the HTMR process under normal and abnormal conditions on a 24/7 basis.
• Manage and operate equipment, machinery and accessories through process control systems
• Monitor, control, record and report all activities of the process.
• Maintain the HTMR process as designed/planned whenever possible.
