Platform Engineering Manager: Lead Scalable, Autonomous Teams

Buildkite’s Platform team runs the engine room: a scalable Postgres‑powered Rails stack on AWS Fargate that powers engineering at top teams. You’ll lead the team, not the codebase, with real 1:1s to help people grow and roadmap planning with product and engineering leadership.

You’ll stay off the critical path for delivery while guarding risk, making trade‑offs clear to executives, and handing the team true ownership of design and implementation to boost morale, speed, and quality.
