Job Description
The planner/scheduler prepares the feasible Production Plan based on production needs by planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring through the complete production cycle keeping an optimal inventory level of finished goods to assure the service level required by the Clients.
- Analyzes assorted Demand Sources (Forecasts, Firm Client Orders, Etc.) as well as attends meetings with Production, Quality, Materials, Engineering, and CSR’S, to create Feasible Production Plans. Checks the Client’s requirements, Negotiates Potential Product End of Life Activities and includes it in the WPS Planning.
- Uses the CRP (Capacity Resource Plan) Techniques to Increase, Decrease or Maintain the Plant’s Capacity. Manages the MPS/MRP parameters for Planning.
- Can be involved in the Material Requirements Planning.
- Controls the Finished Goods Inventory.
- Can be involved in Customer Service to Coordinate on Time Deliveries.
