Position Overview

The Shift Lead Hand will support the department Supervisor and provide front line support to employees when the Supervisor is off shift, while maintaining their regular job duties.

Location

Onsite in Oakville, Ontario.

Your Day To Day

• While maintaining regular job responsibilities (Machinist etc.), Shift Lead Hands will have the following additional job responsibilities:
  • Drive the schedule to ensure targets / Tact rates are met per the Master Schedule. When changes are necessary, or issues occur.
  • Direct and support department employees on work schedules, prioritizing job tasks, and managing training requirements as necessary. Oversee and schedule workflow through department machines to optimize equipment utilization in full support of Production requirements.
  • Provide technical support and advice as related to standards to Inspectors.
