Responsibilities
I. Screening and prioritizing of psychological referrals
Consults and collaborates with school personnel and/or parents (e.g., school resource group meetings, team meetings, pod meetings). Conducts direct classroom observation of students. Gathers pertinent information from other disciplines. Identifies needs of children and/or school communities.II. Assessment
Conducts assessments using structured and unstructured (e.g., observations, interviews, file reviews) psycho-diagnostic techniques and instruments. Assesses cognitive functioning, academic achievement, learning styles, social/emotional functioning, personality, self-esteem and adaptive behaviour. Interprets results of assessments to school personnel and parents. Prepares written assessment reports for the Student Record and for relevant community professionals on request.III. Diagnosis
