Job Description
The diagnostic Radiologic Technologist successfully acquires quality radiographs and performs fluoroscopy guidance for diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic purposes, using the expertise and knowledge of radiologic technology and radiographic equipment and positioning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
+ Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology education program.
+ ARRT required.
+ New York State license in Radiologic Technology is required.
+ New graduates will receive a temporary permit that is valid for 6 months or until they successfully pass the ARRT Radiology boards.
+ If a new graduate fails to pass the ARRT Radiology board, they will have 10 days to work, at which time their temporary permit will be rescinded. They will not be able to work as a Radiologic Technologist until successful completion of passing the ARRT Radiology boards.
